“Yoo, accomplice attempted to flee abroad”…prosecutors seek warrant
Actor Yoo Ah-in, who is suspected of taking drugs, was caught by police trying to get his accomplice to flee overseas.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office requested an arrest warrant for actor Yoo Ah-in and his acquaintance, a writer from an art school, today (Feb. 22), on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act토토사이트.
The police, who had previously applied for an arrest warrant against them on April 19, reportedly wrote in the warrant that the pair posed a “risk of destroying evidence,” specifically citing an unsuccessful attempt to have Yoo’s accomplice flee the country as the basis for the application.
Earlier this morning, an official from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency explained the reasoning behind the warrant application at a press conference, saying, “After the investigation, we determined that it was necessary to detain him because he denied the crime, the number and type of drugs had increased (from when the investigation was requested), and he had an accomplice.”
Mr. Yoo is suspected of having consumed five types of narcotics: cannabis, cocaine, propofol, ketamine, and zolpidem. During the police investigation, Mr. Yu reportedly denied taking any drugs other than cannabis.
