Why are 9 hula hoops placed on the floor? Discovery of the tic-tac-toe game in the open training of the women’s national team
When nine hula hoops were laid on the floor of the court, many people wondered what they were for. Hula hoops were a tool to develop players’ agility and judgment.
The Korean women’s national volleyball team held a media day at the Jincheon National Training Center on the 17th. The women’s national team will start with the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Asian Championship, which will be held in Nakhon Ratchasrima, Thailand from the 30th to September 6th, and the final Olympic qualifiers to be held from September 16th to 24th, September 19th to 26th. A series of major international competitions are ahead, including the Hangzhou Asian Games, which are held on the same day. Naturally, this media day attracted a lot of attention.
Starting with Kim Da-eun, Lee Da-hyun, Pyo Seung-joo, Kang So-hui, Kim Yeon-gyeon, and Park Jung-ah had an interview with reporters, and director Cesar Hernandez Gonzalez also stood in front of the camera and microphone. After the interview lasted about 40 minutes, the women’s national team’s open training began under the direction of coach César.
While the players warmed up with simple running, nine hula hoops were set up in three rows on the court. As it is not an equipment that can be easily seen in the training of volleyball players, many people have been interested in it. After the running was finished, I was able to check the use of the hula hoop. The 3×3 hula hoops served as a board for the ‘tic-tac-toe’ game.스포츠토토
Except for Lee Han-bi and Park Jung-ah, who performed additional stretching to strengthen their physical condition, the players were divided into two teams and played a ‘tic-tac-toe’ game with their bodies. When the signal sounded at the starting point, the player could run to the other side, touch the net, pick up the cone under it, put it down in the hula hoop, and return. Like the rule of ‘tic-tac-toe’, the rule was that the team that first puts 3 cones side by side in a 3×3 hula hoop box wins.
In order to win this game, it is important to show off your wits and bring the cone quickly, but it is also important to have quick judgment to block the path that needs to be blocked while checking the number of opponents when putting down the cone. It was a training that could cultivate the necessary ability while arousing interest. After a fierce game with unpredictable results, the team of Lee Joo-ah, Kim Da-eun, Kim Ji-won, Moon Jeong-won, Kang So-hui, and Kim Da-in won the final victory.
In the open training on this day, various training was conducted even after the ‘tic-tac-toe’ game training, such as defense and 2nd level connection training, and situation training after joining the block by position. Although the recent results are somewhat disappointing, the atmosphere at the training ground was bright and lively throughout the training. It was a scene where the will of the national team to move forward without being bound by the past was felt.
