Park Seok-hwan from Goyang Orion, who went to Jinju with his friend, turned into a youth leader
I returned to my main job, but I have a new feeling토토사이트. After a long time, my throat was hoarse after tutoring with my children.”
Assist For You (Assist For Youth) project, which is underway for the development of youth basketball in Korea from 2022. Jinju Jeong Bong-yeong Basketball Class, which is doing this project together, joined Park Seok-hwan from Goyang Orion.
Park Seok-hwan, who graduated from Yeosu Electronic Chemical High School and Sungkyunkwan University, joined Goyang Orion with the 8th pick in the 2nd round in the 2012 draft. Afterwards, Park Seok-hwan, who enlisted in Sangmu and completed his military service, played an active part on the professional stage until 2017.
Park Seok-hwan, who played as a 3×3 player at Hanul Construction after retiring from his professional career, boasted excellent fast-breaking ability and fast passwork throughout his playing days.
The youth basketball classroom is not an awkward place for Park Seok-hwan, who also worked as a youth basketball coach at PEC for over three years after his retirement. However, what is the reason why Park Seok-hwan, who moved toward a new path after leaving PEC, started as a youth director in Jinju?
Jinju Jeong Bong-yeong Basketball Class Director Jeong Bong-yeong and college classmate Park Seok-hwan said that he had previously received a proposal from the director Jeong Bong-young to come down to Jinju and develop a basketball class together. However, because there was something else that had already started, Park Seok-hwan had to turn down director Jeong Bong-yeong’s proposal, enough to have a pleasant conversation between his friends.
In the meantime, due to personal affairs, he said goodbye to the work he had been preparing for a while ago, and during this time, Park Seok-hwan, who received a love call from director Jeong Bong-young, decided to go to Jinju.
“I started working in earnest from last week. I took charge of the 1st store, which is the head office of Jinju Jeong Bong-young’s basketball class, and worked as a director. I am a university classmate with director Jeong Bong-young, and I am happy to be able to work with them this time. At first, it was a joke. It is also very strange that the story that started with sound became possible through the steady love calls of director Jeong Bong-young.” These are the words of Park Seok-hwan, who has now become the director.
Director Park Seok-hwan, who has no connection with Jinju, is said to be struggling to adapt to the new life in Jinju. Director Park Seok-hwan said, “I came down to Jinju and was looking at the current status of the Jeong Bong-yeong basketball class, and I was surprised. In fact, Jinju has a strong image of a basketball wasteland, but I was personally very surprised that our basketball class has a system and the number of members is comparable to that of famous basketball classes in the metropolitan area.”
“I could see at once how much director Jeong Bong-young had worked for over 10 years. Personally, I came down to Jinju after a lot of trouble, and I think a lot that I shouldn’t put in more effort and cause trouble to director Jeong Bong-young and the basketball class.” he added.
Director Park Seok-hwan, who became in sync with his friend Bong-young Jeong, says that he thinks a lot about “youth is my way” after seeing this. Director Park Seok-hwan, who was considered one of the top coaches in PEC, which is one of the largest among domestic youth basketball classes, said that he lost his voice when he tried to teach the children.
However, Director Park Seok-hwan, who said that he is adapting quickly because of his personality that likes children, said, “Rather than putting my style first, I think it’s more important for me to adapt to the 10-year system of Jeong Bong-young’s basketball class built by Director Bong-young Jeong. I plan to do my best to be a source of strength in line with the direction we are moving in. Currently, we are operating up to the 3rd store in Jinju, and we will support the opening of the 4th and 5th stores in the future,” he said, revealing his future plans.
He concluded the interview by saying, “I am very grateful to Director Bong-Young Jung for being very considerate of me as a friend, and in the future, I will try to ensure that our children receive a good basketball and education that is as good as their friends in the metropolitan area.” Assist For Youth is a project that assists to spread youth basketball by joining forces with youth basketball classes across the country from 2022.
