Now give it to me! Bayern Munich go all-in for Kane with ‘€100m’ bid
Bayern Munich are set to make an offer Tottenham Hotspur can’t refuse.
“With Tottenham holding firm, Bayern are ready to offer £86 million for Harry Kane,” British media outlet The Express reported on Nov. 27 (KST).
European soccer mostly uses euros for transfer fees, but only England uses pounds. 86 million pounds is 100 million euros. Internally, Bayern were said to be prepared to pay up to €100 million for Kane.
Bayern have already had two rejections. They initially opened talks for £60 million with incentives. They raised it to £70 million, but were again rebuffed. For the third time, they went ‘all in’.
Bayern embarked on a pre-season tour of Asia from July 26 to August 3. Chief executive officer Jan Christian Dresden was absent. He was in London for face-to-face talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
While Bayern are confident of landing Kane, the mood at Tottenham is different.
According to British media outlet 90min, “Dresden and Levy met in early July, during which Levy made no hints or suggestions about selling Kane,” and the club remains stubborn.메이저놀이터
‘Levy has not yet given up hope that new manager Ange Postecoglou will be able to persuade Kane to stay at Spurs,’ 90min explained.
Kane has already turned down a new contract with Tottenham, but it seems he is still being persuaded.
Spurs owner Joe Louis recently instructed the club to sell Kane if he does not sign an extension. Spurs are reportedly looking for at least £100 million, but £86 million is thought to be a reasonable offer.
Bayern chairman Herbert Heynckes has also publicly made a bid for Kane, putting pressure on Tottenham.
“The Bundesliga doesn’t have many world stars anymore,” Heynckes said. Kane is a very attractive player, captain of the England national team and top scorer. He would be a great addition to Bayern and the Bundesliga.”
