Genesis kicks off Europe’s most prestigious golf tournament…the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open

The Genesis Scottish Open 2023, one of Europe’s most prestigious golf tournaments, will kick off at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.

A total of 156 players from the DP World Tour, the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA), and the Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) will compete in the four-day event from Thursday, April 13 through Sunday, April 16.

The Genesis Scottish Open is part of the Rolex Series, the top five tournaments on the DP World Tour. Founded in 1972 as the Scottish Open, the tournament was renamed the Genesis Scottish Open last year when Genesis became the official sponsor in 2022.

The field includes the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open winner, Xander Schauffele (World No. 6), as well as Scottie Scheffler (World No. 1) and Rory Mcllroy (World No. 3), Patrick Cantlay (World No. 4), Viktor Hovland (World No. 5), Cameron Smith (World No. 7), Max Homa (World No. 8), and many other world-class players.

PGA Tour players Seong Jae Im (World No. 23), Joo Hyung Kim (World No. 25) and Kyung Hoon Lee (World No. 52) will also be in attendance, as well as Genesis invitees Kim Young-soo, who won the 2022 Genesis Championship and the 2022 Genesis Points Grand Prize, and Seo Yoseop and Kim Biao, who finished 2-3 in the 2022 Genesis Points standings.
