The PonyJung Foundation presented the 17th PonyJung Innovation Award to Park Hang-seo, former head coach of the Vietnam national men’s football team, at the PonyJung Hall at iPark Tower in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on 26 June.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman Jung Mong-kyu토토사이트, founder of the PonyJung Foundation, Mrs Park Young-ja, wife of the late Chairman Emeritus of HDC Group (formerly Hyundai Industrial Development Company) Chung Se-young, and the winner, Park Hang-seo.

In April, the PonyJung Foundation announced the selection of director Park Hang-seo as the recipient of the 17th PonyJung Innovation Award.

At the ceremony, Foundation Chairman Mong Kyu Chung said, “Coach Park has set new milestones in the history of Vietnamese football and served as a bridge between Korea and Vietnam as a civilian diplomat.”

“His achievements as coach of the Vietnam national football team are an innovation that has expanded the horizons of Korean football,” Chung said, “and we look forward to his future endeavours.”

In accepting the award, Park said, “Even in an unfamiliar environment, I believed in myself and strived to forge a new path,” adding, “It was an uncertain challenge, but with the support of everyone in Vietnam and Korea, I was able to reach a turning point in my life.”
