‘Dramatic rescue’ of 10 puppies who didn’t make it out of fire

At around 9.13am yesterday (2 February), a fire broke out in a house in Changbong-ri, Gonggeun-myeon, Gangseong-gun, Gangwon-do.

Firefighters arriving at the scene of the fire, while focusing on preventing the fire from spreading, discovered several puppies trapped inside the house and went to their rescue.

The on-site response team and paramedics rescued two dogs, believed to be the parents, and 10 puppies from the fire and transported them to Hwaseong Regional Animal Hospital, where some are under temporary care.
