10⅓ innings of team no-hitters, no laughing matter…extra inning runs scored, and the game was lost.
No-hitter for 10⅓ innings. But they didn’t win.
The Milwaukee Brewers fell 3-4 against the New York Yankees in the 2023 Major League Baseball World Series at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, on April 11.
Milwaukee’s starting pitcher was Corbin Burns. Burns was looking for his third straight double-digit win season.스포츠토토
Burns got off to a good start, leaving just one batter on base until the fourth inning. He retired Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Everson Pereira, and Oswaldo Cabrera.
Burns allowed a run for the first time in the fifth inning. He gave up a leadoff walk to Stanton. He induced Isaiah Kainer-Palepa to hit a grounder to shortstop, nabbing Stanton at second. But Kainer-Palepa was caught stealing. With the bases loaded, Burns got Anthony Volpi to fly out to shortstop and then walked Pereira. With runners on first and second, he got Cabrera to fly out to third to end the threat.

However, the Yankees’ starter, Cole, didn’t get the win either, as he pitched seven scoreless innings with three hits and nine strikeouts.
Milwaukee’s team no-hitter continued after Burns went down. In the bottom of the ninth, Devin Williams struck out pinch-hitter Jake Bauers, DJ LeMahieu grounded out to third base, and Aaron Judge struck out to send the game into extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th, Ivner Yuribe started by striking out Glavier Torres. He gave up a walk to Stanton to put runners on first and second, but struck out Kainer Palepa and got Volpi to fly out to right field.
